Strange clunking in reverse out of my driveway??? 75k miles
Put my car in reverse and rolled out of the driveway this morning and heard a strange clunking as wheels turned... also continued when shifted into 1st gear for a couple more feet and then went away. Wondering if anybody else has experinced this noise, could my ebrake need adjustment or my bushings need to be replaced? Any advice or info would be much appreciated

Did you washed the car and let it dry prior to moving it? This happens nearly every time I wash the car. The pads stick to the rotors and make a fairly loud clunk when they break free. There's another common noise that comes from the parking brake. Search for the term "cow bell"'. However the cow bell noise tends to be fairly persistent until you get it sorted.

you may have any of the things mentioned above, but our differentials do make a little noise when cold when turning. i have a steep driveway at the end of a cul-de-sac and i have to back out to my left and do a clockwise 180* turn to leave. i get diff noises and a little throttle lunging every single time.

I have not washed the car, had the same noise again this morning , noise went away after a few seconds tho... im going to park the car on street tonight and just leave in gear with no ebrake , hopefylly i can narrow down the the ebrake after that.

Take a look at your differential and the differential bushing.
If your diff bushing are worn or broken you will also hear a clunk in the rear of your car. Looking at the amount of miles on your car this could be the problem. Is your car DCT or 6MT (Manual Trans).

Diff bushings would make a sound while shifting usually (ask me how I know). As others said or alluded to, pads sticking onto the rotors can be caused by exposure to cold, wet (including condensation). Did you change brake pads recently, have a BBK (where such sounds are normal), or are in need of changing pads soon?
