On this report, as Blackstone stated, there is nothing alarming. As you will read around here, oil reports are not a crystal ball, and may or may not help you identify a bearing about to fail. It all depends on when you do the report and when the wear is happening. Some say the wear happens early on and stops. Some say its progressive over time. No one really has a solid answer, so you have to make a judgement call about what you are going to do. Im supercharged too, and to be honest with you, I would never have added the blower without first changing the bearings. But thats just me. I know it adds more bottom end stress so this was a precautionary measure.

Sounds like a bad leak where the header meets the exhaust.

Yeah farm tractor is the right word . It sounds not normal for a S65 .
This sound is not bearing related ! I think something is wrong with your exhaust...It makes me think about an exhaust leak (not sure)

Seems there are an abundance of lead/copper bad bearing examples. Im always curious what a really worn set of the later aluminum bearings look like.

-Interval data is not likely to be useful for any one engine due to multiple ownership and the resulting varied history, usage type, oil used, climate type, or simply verifiable proof of actual intervals (honesty).

In my opinion it's a data point only useful to satisfy one's curiosity.

From what I have read over the years here, I would not rely on Blackstone reports unless maybe I had the car from new and had tested it every oil change.

2011 M3 bearings

Just got done reading through this and a few other threads about this. Went out to give a listen to the 2012 with 40k miles I just bought last week and I don't hear anything out of sorts HOWEVER slowly reving the engine from idle to 3k rpms I do have a lot of vibration (wheel shakes seat shakes etc) especially in the 1.5 - 2.5k rpm range and it gets smother as the revs go up. I have felt it will driving but I always assumed it was the DCT clutches doing their thing but its there in neutral.

Is this normal or a possibly an early sign of RB problems? I did buy a warranty with it but that doesn't keep me from worrying at least some now.

You can't "feel" bad rod bearings. Vibrations could be the engine mounts though...

Thanks good to hear its not bearings It was shortly after a cold start but it deff wasn't smooth. I can try again once it's warmed up but there is an event at the big stadium right beside my house atm.

Is it normal for them to vibrate like this or it there something I need to be getting checked out. I understand it has stiffer bushings and what not than my old 335 so not sure if this is just normal. It went through the BMW dealership inspection but not like that means anything
