MCS typically 60mm springs. But you can use 2.25" but you have to have the 2.25 top hats/camber base, and all the perches have to be 2.25.

My rates are 800/950.

Right, it wasn't releasing after braking so I ate through the entire outboard pad in one track day. I took it apart and looked at everything when I got home and put my street pads back on. The rubber looked fine but the caliper was not sliding very well. I cleaned everything up and it's a little better but still not as free-floating as the other side. I check temps after each drive and it seems okay with a couple weeks of street driving. Going to see if the solid pins and some routine lubing will prevent this from ever happening again.

There's so much mixed information out there about lubricating OEM guides, so I was reluctant to try it. A lot of people claim that various lubes and greases will eat away at the rubber or even degrade and cause seizure. I decided to try out the solid guide pins which are meant to be lubricated. I have OCD over maintenance of my cars. I do caliper slide greasing jobs periodically on the daily (before winter, after winter) and even on any track toy I like to do them even for all my friends. I've never had an issue. Some others may disagree but if you do do it, permatex makes a great caliper grease that i have had good luck with. Anyone else have input?

Silicone based won't eat rubber. There are a few High temp varieties. Motorcycle shops are good places to look.

If you're on stock calipers I'd consider replacing the piston seals and cleaning the pistons.

Use the Audi brake guide grease. Also sold as Febi Special lithium grease, Febi part number 31942. I think I got mine at RM European or Pelican. Stuff is magic. Credit where credit is due: Got this stuff from a Kansas BMW club member down at COTA when I was struggling getting my brakes back together when I was getting the pads changed out to drive back to Vegas. Magic stuff.

I'd replace the guide pins as well. One might be slightly out of whack.

I used this stuff between my Ti shims and pads and it turned to powder. Probably does better a little farther from the heat though.

That sounds about right. You probably have 50-75 lbs in weight savings between your brakes, exhaust and wheels. Dump your washer fluid and take out your mobility kit and you'll be under 3700

How heavy are the EDC dampers compared to the JRZ? Any weight savings there?

What spring lengths did you end up going with and would you do the same again?

My goal is slightly lower than ZCP ride height but I do want the ability to go wide on tires too.
