Nothing mate but when someone tries to tell me I am talking crap when I clearly understand what's going on more than they do I suppose I get a wee bit annoyed.

Will take some happy pills and be OK soon.

Let me know when those pills kick in because when it comes to tires, you are off base. While I don't think you are advocating suspension only vs. tires, I am speaking from experiences tires are the most important factor in a car's handling.

Now, sit back, sip your non-fat, mocha frappacino, non-lactose latte and plan a trip over to this side of the pond where we drive on the right side of the street.

T-Bone,

I am telling you why the M6 isn't performing on those tyres around the ring and you simply dismiss it because either it's me telling you the facts or you don't want to believe it. They are making a difference around Hockenhiem but almost seem to have a negative effect on the ring.

The facts are plain as the zits on your face that without the correct suspension setup for those tyres the M6 will never work right and will only perform near their best on a smooth race track.

You already have a perfect example of correct suspension to these tyres in the form of the CSL but you simple dismiss that and think that the M6 was a one off.

Think of suspension as the foundations of a house, if they are crap the house will be crap.

No worries, let's pick it up again after you get some seat time in the M3 on the track.

Just curious.
Two types, one you have mentioned and another you have not.

P.S.
Not Trackdays as they aren't really classed as proper racing.

Getting back on topic.

Are we all a little bit more impressed by the RS6 now that it's been compared to the M5 Touring.

No, anyone can throw horsepower at a problem.... And it is not any faster than a car that has been out since 2004.

I'm almost sure the M5 Touring started production in March 2007.

I want some numbers etc etc. Harris has never liked the SMG and the M5 so the results is kinda predictable.

Didn't realise that, so maybe this result is a bit bias toward the Audi, but in general his opinions on Audis are usually not great and the only exceptions are the R8, RS4 and the fwd TT. Even the S5 he was a little cold with because it wasn't entertaining enough.

Regardless of the RS6 beating the M5 in this report his opinion on the RS6 is still very valid.
