Have you looked at Bilstein Clubsports?

I've looked at them a number of times, just haven't seen too many reviews. Lots of great MCS reviews here and then lots of JRZ reviews from the p-platform and others, so honed in on those options.

One bonus with the MCS dampers is that you can upgrade to the remote reservoir later and pay the difference for the upgrade (so I've heard). Might start with the 2-way no reservoir and then add the reservoir later if keep my car long enough.
Just wanted to correct what I said here, apparently 1WNR's can be upgraded to 2WR/3WR's but the 2WNR's cannot (at least not for a reasonable cost). Still think I am going to go with 2WNR ... first suspension purchase ever, should be plenty to experience and tinker with! Going to read up on JRZ's and Bilstein Clubsports some more (part of the fun) but leaning MCS.

My only recommendation on buying shocks is to buy from a vendor that can offer setup advice. Olsen in Chicago is a wiz with JRZ's. Bimmerworld knows MCS. There are likely others out there, but just buying on lowest price may not be the best value overall. Track time is expensive. Spend it tweaking the suspension for optimum performance the day you are driving, not finding a baseline for the suspension.

Just wanted to say hi guys. Have been lurking here for a while and really like all input/helpfulness you guys give each other. So I'm definitely looking forward to contribute. Sold my track prepped 135 for a track prepped 2003 m3 with 41k on it. Have the cage and a few small things on order for the m3. (Being in college leaves me on a budget) Car already came with tc kline Coils, akg bushings, trailing and control arms, reinforcement for the subframe and gc sway bars front and rear and additional goodies. Looking to learn a lot from you guys. Sorry for the long post

We still have off seasons- it's in the summertime when all the tracks in SoCal are 100*+ and it's too hot to really enjoy it.
Laguna Seca though... that's just about heaven- nice area, wonderful track, and never too hot.

This time of year is the best time to track. Cold in the morning and hits the mid 70's if it's a sunny day. It doesn't really rain here.

New pb at auto club today. 1:54:868. This car feels better with edc on comfort. Still working on being smoother here. I'm coming back tomorrow, so now I get to sleep on it and visualize the pb smashage tomorrow.

Funday at acs today. Best acs day I've had. Completely empty. Way too much track Time. Unfortunately a little too much for my brake pads. Had to call the day early. Note to self. Bring extra pads ...I only have like 4 sets at home -_-.

Big ups to roastbeef and redpriest nice fast driving

Ah, looks like I will just miss you - at Chuckwalla for Sunday. Roasted my R-compound tires but was pleasantly surprised by how well the Kumho Ecsta PS91s did.

I thought they were just going to be cheaper PSS knock offs but I set my best times today on them - faster than the RC-1s! To be fair, my RC-1s might have either heat cycled out or just not as good on 7th day of use.

Fast time for me at ACS today was 1:54.05. My best time was 1:52.95 or something like that, and on NT01s.

Kumhos were consistent too - although I did 3 hot laps in a row that were around 1:54, I decided to take it easy on them so they wouldn't chunk - have no idea how heat resistant they are.

They look like this after 2 20 min sessions (I have about 8000 street miles on them too)
