Found weird connection in Center Console
So I was doing some research on retrofitting Bluetooth Audio for my M3 and decided to take a gander underneath my center console. I found this weird connection piece unconnected when I opened up my E-brake cover. I have no idea on what it is and what its for. I'm guessing the purple connection is fiber optic. There's a couple of part numbers listed and I looked them up at realoem.com and found no real answers as to what it's for.
Here's what realoem.com said these part numbers were: 8 364 655-01 ~ Covering Cap for E60 5 Series 6 919 429-01 ~ Plug-In Connection Bracket I've also googled and searched bimmerpost and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know? TIA Heres some pics: |

Ok, I guess I'll just bury it deep down inside and never bring it up again.
