Set caliper flush against rotor. Press in the bottom one first and you'll hear a click. Screw in a couple turns to set them.

Now push the top of caliper against rotor, press in pin. Done.

About 40 quarter turns to tight. If not it didn't thread in.

today was my first time running pfc08's in the back and the rears are getting a lot hotter than the fronts. its likely a combo of heavy braking plus mdm using the rear brakes to make adjustments.

Trail braking is fine, but that's more of a refinement late in the braking cycle. You should not be massively on the brakes at that point. If you are, then you're probably braking too late and you're attempting to "fix" things, as opposed to a purposeful and generally mild hold on the brakes to encourage a controlled rotation. A 1.5 diff doesn't prevent you from doing that.

for the track, i was just running ferodo dsUNO's in the front. they are supposed to be like the ds1.11's, but with more initial bite. i can't comment on that because i have never used ds1.11's. i did like the pfc08's in the rear though. not too noisey, either.

i think i'll probably get some hawk hps for the rears on the street, just to keep it quiet.

elyse has been volunteering at the german shepherd rescue of orange county. we were going to foster this dog until it got adopted. dog played us and we couldn't give her up. lol

hpdu is pretty damn good. i really liked the open track. only part that sucked was having to (seemingly) constantly get gas. driving instructor i had was really good and was able to address some things just from video review. i still have some things to work on, and can continue to work on those things in the future. that is the real value of instruction.
i have a bad habit of shuffling my hands on the steering wheel, lifting off the brakes too abruptly after a hard braking session, and being 'lazy' between transitions in the esses. i was able to implement some of the advice right away, and some is going to require continued work to break bad habits.

overall, i would love to track with them again. if they go to laguna seca, i'm for sure going.

This is why we can never go to a shelter to volunteer as we'd try to take a bunch home...we send them $$$ (along with my old crew cab diesel dually truck when I bought a new one).

We have a rule in the house that tails <= people. We're maxed out right now.

We have two mini panthers as well. I like this one (Harvey) more than the dog. Cats are just cleaner and more intelligent. The dog is clumsy and reckless, but I'm sure it will grow on me some. I'm also his favorite human.

Eh, I like it. The rear is badass and a better sight IMO. Would still rather F1, but those are unattainable unless billionaire.

I'm running PFC08s in front and rear right now, trying to scrub off some pretty heavy pad deposits from running the OEM brake pads at Big Willow, and they're embarrassingly loud driving around town, haha.
