I'm sure if I'd stuck with just CC and not used the Paypal option and logged in, it would have been okay. The problem was that once I logged into Paypal, it used those settings rather than taking the CC option I selected. Its probably more of an ebay/Paypal website design issue than the vendor, but it's still a nasty design, and it still should have had a final "is everything correct" check before placing the order with an unintended option.

As far as getting it fixed, as I stated in the followup post, no problems having them fix it once we got through to a real person, but I'm not sure I would consider a 30 minute on hold wait time acceptable. Maybe you just got lucky with your call if you had a short wait, or maybe I just got real unlucky, and of course I'm still out 1k while Paypal takes its sweet old time getting it refunded.

Depends on if you have to pay sales tax or not. For TX right now each set of 2 is $441 shipped or $882 for 4. For no-tax states it looks like it would be $807 shipped!!!

It looks like tax is only charged in Arizona, Ohio, and Texas.

i'm not 100% sure. annually in march is what was said earlier in this thread. this past march was the first time i participated. apparently they do it more than once annually since they're doing it now.

They've had $100 off 2, $50 off 2, 7% off order, maybe even $25 off two, unless I imagined that last one. Bottom line, maybe wait at least for some sale, but you it's hard to tell what sale they will be running at a given point in time, at least what I've seen.

There was a sale, which discounted the price to $453 ish for me. Then I applied the CTIRES416 coupon for an additional 50 off.

I see. I assumed that price shown included the coupon. Well, that does kind of suck since I just had the $70 off when I bought last week. Oh well.
