LMAO, that's mounted in the center of the trunk - was experimenting with that today. Didn't want to dive bomb anyone with my GoPro mount falling off at 110 like I did to Ivan

guys who went to spring mountain - can you check if my name is pre-black listed there?
SpeedVentures staff vouched for me pretty heavily so I think that helped me not get blacklisted for all time. If I had been a first time run with them I think I woulda been screwed.

kaiv was telling me he got blackflagged for a beautiful drift that I saw him do earlier, too.

Ariusen: Nice vids! Thanks for including me. LOL at the S2k. Talent, it doesn't bolt on to the car... Come to think of it, that guy was probably the one talking smack at registration about how all the BMW drivers crash into other cars...well, if they do stupid shit like that then yeah, we're gonna smack 'em.

RedPriest: The good news for me is I was doing ~ the same speed into turn 2 as you were. The bad news is that I was on stones and you were on stickies... Dial that oversteer out a bit so you can carry more mid-corner speed. Setup your car like a Frenchman. No, not *that* Frenchman, I'm talking about Alain Prost. He always had a neutral to understeering car.

Since I brought Kaiv into the conversation; when the FBI interviewed me about Kaiv, I do recall answering "yes" to the question: "Is he pretty much a drifter?" Maybe they got the wrong idea...

Can't wait to see the video from Kaiv's run in the super fast E46M3. Epic time!

Well, another difference is that I'm still really a noob at heart (aka, I suck), haha. I did try to do the fine line between losing grip and putting the car into a slide, and what not through those long turns. Are you seeing that the car is a little too happy to go into a slide? How would you go about correcting this? Here's the list of things I think I can do to dial back in some more understeer:

Sway bar is in the middle setting - go softer?
Skinnier tires up front?
Less tire pressure up front?

Alignment is:
Front: -2.54/-2.49 camber, 6.95/6.82 caster, toe is 0.01/0.01
Rear: -1.8/-1.83 camber, 0.04/0.04 toe

Really do appreciate the advice. I think I could have done a lot better if I had someone who knew what they were doing ride along with me and give some tips.

I didn't know you wanted someone to ride with you RedPriest or I'd have done that.

I'd fuss with the shock settings and tire pressure before the bar. Bars are harder to adjust at the track as you need both wheels up in the air and you have to set the the end links while the wheels are at the correct ride height (ends need to be level with the ground while the car is at rest).

Rest assured, you were faster than me overall, just saw an opportunity for you to go faster.

Glad I could help. I do enjoy helping others go faster.

I don't have the stones you guys do to take it to 10+/10ths anymore. I was impressed by the driving I saw through 1&2. You, Eli, Kevin et al were wringing every last bit out of those cars. It was fun to watch.

Only because you weren't pushing it I don't have adjustable coilovers unfortunately - still on stock suspension. Only differences are camber plates and now swift spec r springs, so it has to be changing the bar or tire pressures.

I was in the purple group at Spring Mountain. Both of our afternoon sessions got cut in half because of drivers going off course. Pretty disappointing. I got a total of 5 laps in the whole afternoon.

The real bummer was that an instructor approached me before the last session and offered to ride with me but that session only lasted two laps. I've never done Speed Ventures before. Is this a common occurrence?

Anyone doing the NASA event at Buttonwillow next month? Wondering how bad the heat gets there in June.

I had 16 laps for the entire day, and they weren't always clean. I don't think I had a single session that ended on a checkered flag - with 3 sessions ending on waving black flags, and then I got black flagged on my last session out.

People going off happens all the time, but this is the first time I've seen it end an entire session so often, and I don't think it always Speed Ventures drivers fault; at least in my sessions, I saw a couple Radicals off track, or spun out.
