Recently had my remus race xpipe installed. Driven around 200 miles since
and haven't noticed any smell. But today, I can smell a really weird plasticky burning smell. I thought it might be the exhaust but noticed something dripping. Aircon?? ![]() ![]() It was slightly damp when we installed the exhaust and it happens to be on the same side? - Air con? - DCT leaking? - if so, should it smell or what's the colour of the fluid? ![]() Thanks!

From your last picture, it looks like youre dct is seeping a bit however you will be able to tell if you look closely.
Rub the liquid between your fingers. If its oily, its some type of lubricant. It could be water from AC |

Thanks for the response guys.
From what I see - its not soaked yet. I'll try and lift it up with the jack and take a closer look tomorrow. The liquid appears to be clear but its annoying that it was dripping from near the DCT pan, is the air con stuff near there?

Move car, take hair dryer and blow on the liquid. If it dries, it was Aircon related. If it does not, then you know its oil. And if so, thats a fair bit of it so I would take it in to the dealer/shop since it should not seep that much fluid. Mine was a little wet (both times) but nothing like this.

If it is leaking from the exhaust it could be condensation. Clear with no smell probably is condensation. Two likely sources are air conditioning and exhaust. I have seen both. If I remember right the air conditioning drain is near the right front wheel. Exhaust drips only when first started.

I've checked the patch on the floor and also dabbed it with tissue and it appears to be clear liquid. Not sure if the gearbox oil is also clear?
I have checked the next morning and there doesn't appear to be any more dripping - so fingers crossed in this instance its just air con. Thanks for the replies guys! Much appreciated for chipping in.
