Do they have a guide book or something that they reference during the visual?

The rest of the mid section, although larger with 3" tubing, is still lighter than the factory counterpart.
Installing an ARH system even with the stock mufflers in place will save about 15-20lbs over stock.

You think the OEM headers are titanium? That is comical!

That's what I needed to know. Not in Cali, but just curious about the process.

They literally weigh a fraction of what shorties normally weigh which is what led me to believe they weren't S/S. The stamped flanges also add to the weight savings. I thought for sure they were titanium. Lesson learned.

Nick, they are stainless hydroformed with high pressure to create seamless curves and super thin walls. Part of what gives s65 a high pitch sound. They are a quality piece

I haven't had a chance to check but I'd guess they're using .035 wall or some close metric equivalent to get the extra weight out. Really had me fooled. Industry standard for most header manufacturers is .049. Our 50 State legal shorties for Gen 5 Camaro's is .065. Ironically most buy them to hang twin turbo's off of them.

It's one of those things you read about in the launch material and don't think much of as most don't have a comparison but good to see they really did invest in weight savings . I believe since e46 m3 headers they did this. Wouldn't you agree nick that for a factory header they are a nice piece?

So has anybody done a dyno comparison examining just the headers?

I have nothing but good things to say about these headers, the results are fantastic.

Here is a graph showing EAS race xpipe with stock headers vs the ARH's full system (same cat-back exhaust in both cases). Tune did NOT change.

Now here is a graph with a proper tune (also a small boost least was fixed). That's a huge delta. Sure more boost will account for much of the gain, but the headers made a big difference imo

How much of a boost leak did you have and where was the leak located?

about a 1.5lb which turned my 650kit into a 625 kit (I still made 6.5lbs+ of boost). We all know the difference between the 650 and 625 is about 50hp tops, I made over 70hp+ with the headers and boost leak fix over a very good catless xpipe to begin with. BOV diaphragm was leaking slightly

While we all appreciate you taking the time to post and share the data I do want to mention that the comparisons are meaningless, entirely. You changed conditions of the system not fully controlled for and thus you cannot draw any conclusion pertaining to the effect of the ARH pieces.

Awesome that you found some lost power in any case! Keep on enjoying the new setup.

False. Look at the first dyno, nothing changed other than ARH header system, 22+ hp over a catless x-pipe I had on the car, same conditions

True. 10hp peak, 22HP delta on a SC car. 100% consistent with what we have all been saying from the beginning. ARH's claims are only good for a SC S65, nill for NA. Although Nick will not admit it. He likes to talk about his companies history, mustangs, corvettes, warehouse square footage, etc... to back his NA S65 HP claims. Not a single NA comparison dyno to date.

Bigboost, do you have an NA M3? With your screen name I'll assume you don't but if you do PM a contact number and I'll call you arrange shipping you a set of headers you can test. Make sure you're already catless as we don't want that to be a factor. Care to try them out?

Guys, Gains of 22HP on a boosted car, considering there's slight boost loss with our headers, is a ton of power. It's patently false to think that an NA combination won't have appreciable gains.

For what it's worth, regretfully I've learned months ago that nothing I post here won't be trashed by someone who knows nothing about our headers. Unless an independent party does it, nothing I say will be taken seriously. I welcome any ARH equipped customer to post their results.

Thank goodness for the believers and the non-believers.
I walk by faith and I believe the stock headers are made of Titanium.

Nick I for one would love to be proven wrong. I cannot believe there hasn't been a test done like the bimmerworld test was done with your headers. I came from the Mustang world and I am very familiar with ARH headers and the quality of the pieces. Its just I am not that convinced that the difference is that great on a full bolt on, normally aspirated S65 M3. We have been waiting for months for such a test and have yet to have it.

If you are not familiar with the bimmerworld test here it is.

http://store.bimmerworld.com/bimmerw...der-p2272.aspx

I do appreciate you being a vendor on here and never want to give the impression otherwise.

Dave
