Good advice. My hope is that harder rubber engine and trans mounts will be a nice compromise between performance and street manners.

They are. The Group-N type mounts are the perfect balance of performance improvements, OEM type quality/durability and comfort.

It's also quite important to make sure the transmission mounts are upgraded as well. Doing a stiffer engine mount while keep the very soft transmission mounts can lead to failure.

im on black forest motor mounts and turner delrin transmission mounts. The black forest mounts are like the vibratechnics. They are firmer, induce slightly more vibration but entirely tolerable for any street car.

Do the turner trans mounts make any noise?

They vibrated more. The diff really is the loudest of them all and if u have the diff bushings in- you wouldn't really notice any sound from anything else.

That's entirely subjective. People have different tolerances for this stuff.

I think if you drive the car on the track and have a more firm coilover set up and an aftermarket exhaust it is likely very tolerable.

And also to caveat - you are not recommended doing transmission or most motor mounts alone - you are recommended to do both at once. Sometimes having miss match bushings and mounts can induce more vibration than you would experience with a set. I believe turner only sells them as a set.

I already have solid rear sub bushings and delrin diff bushings so I'm certain I am replacing my engine mounts with stock parts. Anyone know for sure if platinum warranty covers this? the coverage pdf from BMW says the lowest level does but suggest the highest levels, gold and platinum do not. The parts are cheap but the labor is not so if I can get it all free i definitely will try.
