I thought you had black comp wheels at the time? Or am I remembering incorrectly on the wheels. I just picked up a challenge street xpipe from another member. Maybe I should pair it up with a new megan. Would sound pretty badass. I have the oem mod right now. |

I've this exhaust for about 6 months and I absolutely love it.
I actually think it's gotten somewhat louder with use. I get compliments all the time on it and for the price I don't think it can be beat. |

I just bought a used Megan for my E90. Put it on last night so no real impressions yet other than that I think I want to do the cold start delete. I have a 4 resonator x-pipe and the cold start is pretty loud with the Megan. I bought it to lose weight and reduce restriction. Some additional sound is welcome but I am not trying to attract attention.

I am getting used to it. When the car is warm, the idle sound is quiet. It adds the most sound from off idle to about 4000. I may raise mine up by an inch but otherwise the fit seems good.

I finally installed test pipes and a Megan exhaust last weekend. The fit took some adjustment before it looked right. The left side sticks out about .25" more than the right. It's possible that more finagling will get that perfect, but the self-serve garage was closing and I was rushed. Left/right and up/down is easy to make perfect.
One complaint is that four nuts were left out. These are welded to the OEM exhaust, so they can't transfer over. There's plenty of support without them, but I still need to get them installed later. Won't need a lift for that fortunately. The car sounds pissed off! I thought the OEM mod was aggressive, but my new setup is at least 2x louder and more aggressive. Much stronger exhaust smell, but not overwhelming. I'll be immediately backing out of the garage after startup, and catless is not an option for me. Overall, very happy with the sound/appearance/performance/smell trade off. Better than I expected actually. I would do it again for sure. I also can't personally see the value in spending more and glad I didn't. Personal choice. I don't feel like I compromised anything at all. |

Yeah, test pipes only delete the primary cats. Not to be confused with a catless x-pipe.
Also, just to give an idea, I picked up the test pipes used for $200 and the Megan exhaust was $520 shipped new. If I ever go back to stock and sell the two, I dare say I will be out very little money. |

I think I have everyone beat. I got a free oem midpipe, gutted the primary and secondary cats, left the resonator. Then I purchased a megan for $250. The megan has lasted almost three years (1.5 with the previous owner) and I can say it's definitely held up better than a cracked MPE

I had this installed today and the shop's impression matches mine -- it sounds very nice. Do I think it added any performance. Marginal at best but sound wise with OE cats and x-pipe it sounds good with virtually no drone. Whether the wife catches on to the change is a different story as there is definitely more sound.

Just installed mine over the weekend and Im very pleased with it. Install went smoothly, just needed to make some side to side adjustments by bending the brackets to get it centered.
Quality wise, its pretty nice. Much lighter than stock. The sound is pretty great for me. Not too loud, but enough to put a smile on your face and I hear no drone at low RPM either. I like it. Great bang for the buck. Next step is test pipes and a tune. |
