HELP before I blow up my car!
Hey guys, need some help with a 275D code (either P0171 or P0172)?
Here is the back story. I was having idle issues and some crazy codes, so right away I knew it was the ICV. Replaced that and replaced a fuel sensor as further inspection lead me to find out that it was going out. I also replaced my wideband 02 sensors (front) Even with the 02s replaced the 275D code shows up. So with this driving me nuts. I had put on a stock tune to see if the same issues were coming up and sure enough they do. So the tune is out of the question. I went to a friends shop and he had asked me if I had replaced my battery. So I said why not, replaced it and the car seemed to be happy with it, no 275d codes. So I left the car at the shop for a few days to have some work done. Pick it up last night and BOOM, the 275d code comes back. So here is my question.. I feel like I might have an exhaust leak and have new donut gaskets on the way. Would this cause a code? Also, my confusion is.. when I clear codes and reset adaptation, let the car sit and turn it on the code pops right back up. Leading me to believe it is not that. Someone help me before I blow up my car!!!!!! |

Based on your error, it looks like it's Bank 1 which I believe is the passenger side o2 sensor.
275D Oxygen sensor limit position error, bank 1 Mine is Bank 2 which replacing the upstream sensor thought fixed my issue, but did not.

I replaced both, I have this feeling that my gasket might be bad and needs to be replaced. I will be picking them up and installing them on Sunday. If that doesnt work I have no clue what else to try

There was a member who was having O2 issues and they found that the wire was pinched from the factory by the underpanels before the connector piece. Might want to search the forum.

If the check engine light becomes fully shaded and you enter an emergency program, then I would absolutely not drove it. Until then, it won't hurt anything - but obviously try to address it as soon as you can. |

plenty of support. They have been helping me since day one of the issue. They paid to have a shop look over the car and the car had replaced a few things with no end solution, and with me being annoyed took the car back.
Mike the Engine symbol is not shaded at all. I will be putting in new gaskets and checking all my new 02s this weekend. Hopefully it solves it as I have a track day on monday |

Update, well it looks like i had an exhaust leak. I went and replaced both gaskets and still a bit of a leak. Anyone else have this issue? I was told it would take a few miles for them to seal up? Still having the 275d code, but the car seems to run better, but really rich at some points. Working with Evolve to get this resolved.
