Anything less than 300 cell cats will usually trigger an SES light. The time it takes to trigger varies, and will require a few drive cycles to set. The harder you drive the car, the longer it will take to set the fault. The DME measure catalyst efficiency when you're maintaining constant speeds for longer periods, without heavy fluctuations in pedal position or RPM, as well as during coasting phases. Your airfilter looked like mine did when I changed it back in 2010. I even had a Styrofoam cup in there! |
