Car died while driving ///Fixed!

Hello, my engine died while driving on the freeway. It went into neutral by itself and I had no power. I pulled over, tried to start it, it kept cranking for 10-15 seconds and no start. I tried again and it started. I come to my house and it dies on my driveway. Same story, but it won't start anymore.

Its a e92 m3 with 70,000 miles. I changed the starter and throttle actuator this year.

Is it the fuel pump? I changed the battery last week, does it need to get 'programmed' for it to work?

I have electrical power, just the car won't start. I think I can hear the fuel pump turning on though. It's a very long and hard crank and she just wont start. Any help is appreciated thank you

Post a video with noises of the engine, that way it's easier to determine where's the problem.

It could be the rod bearings... a seized engine will stop running.

No engine noise , so it's not possible to say if there is something wrong or not with your engine .
But I saw when you pushed the start button , cluster went on without fault code .
Strange situation , think this case is for BMW !
Stop pushing the start button , because your battery will die and soon...
But I saw 2 other cases when S65's just died while driving went in neutral and locked up ...
Sadly these 2 cases was really bad news , and hope it's not the same for you .
Please keep us posted about your strange problem .

Don't be scared, that's the first rule!!!

It's just pointing in the dark and disecting, a fuel pump issue would give you an CEL along with other electrical gremlin's. That's whe CEL's are for, so before you start thinking about hanging yourself listen:
With a car like this, driving an high reving concept motor, engine failure's of any kind need to be considered!
Take it to someone with a scanner tool, might also be ( if your the luckiest guy on the planet) that your CEL bulb went bout and your M throw's your fuel pump elecrical malfuction code ( finger's crossed ).
Again, don't freak out if your engine's seized, there are still cheap solution's to get your baby running, with just like 2k in repair and part's so your still good, okay?

I don't think it's a seized engine, but if it were 6MT, I'd say put it in 1st and see if you can roll it.

Its DCT...

and guys, if it turns on at all though, does that rule out seized engine? like its an intermittent problem other than rod bearings?

im going to try it in a few minutes and trying to see the light in the situation without freaking out

What the hell are you talking about? If it's seized, it won't go anywhere, nor make it worse, if it's not seized, it will roll a bit.

Its hard for me to tell in the video...

Is the engine cranking (turning over) and just not starting... Or is it not even cranking?

While it technically *could* be rod bearings... That would be pretty unlikely. This is not a normal failure symptom for the rod bearings. In fact typically rod bearing failure will result in a car that still runs for a while with a loud knocking noise. This issue almost sounds electrical or fuel related.

Please don't freak out and don't try it over and over, you could really damage everythig and make all worster!

Listen to what our ///Mwhisperer told you.
Remember no matter what, it won't be the end of life, it's something mechanical and can be fixed. Just don't play with it and try to get it turned over!!!!!

BTW a bad crank sensor would in fact typically result in a car that will crank but not start. Some cars can run (hardly) without a crank sensor signal assuming the ecu figures out the crank sensor is bad. It must use the cam sensor with extremely low resolution.. But I digress.

Really it could be any number of things. I only mention crank sensor because you said it had a code for that before
