UUC corsa vs Dinan Free Flow exhaust
I know sound and looks are subjective but which one would you guys think is better?
which has beer sound? looks better? one thing I need to consider is I have a toddler sometimes in the car and it would need to be not too harsh below 3000rpm. thanks |

Dinan has no drone, it's civil until you're into higher throttle angles, then it wakes up but not unpleasant. Welds on the unit look first rate and the dark tips (one is faux) look nice too.

The appearance is my only complaint. The mufflers and hangers are unattractive in my opinion, and I plan to black out the rear-facing portions asap. |

Super happy with my Dinan exhaust. Get compliments regularly for the way it sounds. Plus it has almost no drone. I have the full mid-pipe so it's a bit louder.

This is a good description of the Dinan exhaust, I have it and like the way it stays civil until you want more out of it.

I needed to replace a muffler because something broke off inside one of the chambers and was rattling around like crazy. I called to order and they told me they cannot produce just the one piece, that I needed to purchase a whole new system. Once I convinced them to let me purchase just the one muffler, and after talking them down from some absurd amount (which was effectively the price of a whole new system), I waited for 2 months. I called about every other week to get a status update, since I hadn't even received a shipping invoice, and kept getting the same runaround... that they're nearly about to ship it out (it was almost funny talking to them). By the end of it, I was so fed up, I got my money back, trashed the system, and purchased an eissenman. It's too bad, I actually really liked the sound and look on the e46, but talking to their employees and working with their sales team completely turned me off of that company. |

Here's a pic of the Corsa, in case you haven't seen it. As you can see, the mufflers are quite pronounced, and the welds are discolored. Another thing I forgot to mention is the cold start is rather loud, despite being only axle-back.
This system was already on my car when I bought it, so I'm neutral on the Dinan/Corsa debate. I do like the sound, and it's one of the lower cost options, but I would certainly weigh other brands if I were shopping. |

Thanks everyone. this is exactly the input I needed. I'm going with the Dinan since its not that much more (both second hand). I think mostly the looks department won out.

The Dinan is a good muffler, but the Corsa sounds way better. The Dinan is bassier at cold start. I'm running the Corsa with an ESS x pipe, and I switch out the tips for larger ones, and painted the cans black. Looks great, now.

Can't go wrong with any Dinan product.
The X pipe changes the exhaust note. I have the M sport; but Dinan would be my second choice. I had it on the E36 and it was perfect... |

went with Corsa.. No/low drone ...but can bite when need too, was more important to me.
I keep my cans and tips clean. Dirty corsa's are not appealing. I will admit that. Every time I wash the car they get a bath. Dinan looks cool....but but the Corsa was fine for me. Maybe I am the minority but I actually like how my tips look. lol Sounds as if you made your choice though.. Good! ![]() |

tacoman, does your corsa have the optional black exhaust tips?
I just saw this on Turner's webpage. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-19...st-system.aspx ![]()

No worries
I had a supercharged DINAN E36 when my first was a baby. It never bothered them with the exhaust note, and I think both of them would be fine. The DINAN exhaust was pretty humble until you get into it; and I have heard the Corsa is similar.
Both of my kids seemed to find the extra background exhaust noise and a stiff suspension would help put them to sleep; so I wouldn't worry about either one being an issue for the kids... |

I have the Dinan setup, header back. Dinan has fixed the midpipe resonator weld issue on the newer versions as well.
IMO, the sound is amazing. After about 3500 rpm, it is an intoxicating, exotic sound, especially at full throttle. I have yet to hear another E9X that sounds like it. |

Another vote for dinan here. Had another aftermarket system and couldn't handle the 2250 rpm drone. Dinan is quiet inside the car and sounds great from outside, even axle back.
