Agreed with none of those 4 are on this forum because fact is that we are on here only with a very small number of "ticking bombs",knowing what Worldwide is going on !

USA Charlotte NC 28262 and others. I have multiple cases from the two Charlotte dealerships documented. There are quite a few.

Well if you know about e46 you'll know they are more maintenance and also suffered rod bearing problems to the point of a recall to replace most lower ends.

"Quite a few" would never pose a problem , but like I said yesterday on here that the news from my German source was realy....realy bad !
In other words I'll repait...3 months => 120 days=> 120 "Worldwide" failures !
I've heard also from the same source that some had realy bad luck,and more than once, and had there second bearing failure with a replaced S65 under warranty !
So actualy we need to start counting in another way...
For example....You had one failure => so 1 x , but if I had realy bad luck I need to say twice=> so 2 x !
Imagine my friend...That's why I'm realy pissed ?!?!
But...No worries some are saying... "It's only Internet hysteria" !

To the point of a a recall indeed. Early cars (01-02), that had the incorrectly produced bearings (ours were specced properly but had a production error early on), have been recalled. Later cars were properly built to spec. The S54 does not have rod bearing issues at this point, and never had improperly designed bearings.

No real warning. Many have tried to check an oil analysis through Blackstonelab.com and see if they have high lead levels, but that was for the early cars with lead bearings. No one seems to know what to look for in the newer cars with the tin bearings.

If your "source" actually does have inside information what would be really useful would be the total number of S65 engines replaced to date, broken down by market.

No the total number of replaced (broken) S65 engines I have not !
Actualy I had the same question in my mind ,and just maybe I can work on it , but will take time to get to the real database info ! (not sure if it's possible)
