Do the singles adjust only rebound or does it adjust both rebound and compression?

So show your work. Please post a link to the dyno chart showing the MCS singles' rebound adjustment significantly impacts the compression damping

The singles (for Miata) were dyno'ed. Compression is changed but only by a small amount. I have not looked at the dyno chart but will try to get a hold of it and post it up.

I had my mind set on the singles until I spoke with Lex Carson with MCS. He suggested that I consider the doubles and indicated that they are not too complicated to set up.
Remember, that this is my daily driver (50 miles per day) and I've only done 20-25 track days - solo'd at COTA and several other local tracks. I'm not in the same driving league as most of you guys, but I plan to head in that direction with this suspension for the next couple of years. Obviously, I need the adjustability to stiffen up the suspension for the track and soften for daily driving - grocery getter with the kids in back. I'm more concerned with finding the right balance of spring rates, particularly the rear. My local shop recommends 450/900 for their "softer" street/track set-up, but I see a lot of folks running softer rear spring rates. Thanks for all the feedback - this is more than I expected |

I agree with the exception that this is my DD. So what are you recommending - go with TC Kline or Ohlins with their recommended spring rates and make it a day? Hope to see you soon, man. -Daniel |

I run the MCS doubles with remote reservoir on my E46 M3. I love them and suspension is my favorite mods for a car. In my opinion the KW, TCkline, Ground control, etc isn't on the same level.
Actually having all the adjustability with shock pressure, rebound, compression, allows you to compensate for different conditions/tracks without having to change spring rates. Obviously there is exceptions but for the average person you will not have to fiddle with spring rate changes. I had the moton club sports before and put over 25k DD miles on them. Then switched the MCS and have about 10k on them. No issues and the ride is not harsh as people expect. |

Not sure what the maintenance requirement are for MCS and Ohlins. Some higher end stuff will need a more frequent rebuild. Hope to be back in TX soon. At a minimum I'll make it back for COTA with BMWCCA.

I'd really like to see a set of x2 adj dampers, no remote reservoir with a true coilover rear.

I have the early RRT Ohlins on my E46M3 and they run well.
I've never had the pleasure of running the MCS, but I've seen some racers who have them and their cars are able to do some purely magical things. If I were to buy new shocks today, I'd be getting the MCS' to give them a go, but I lean towards more of a motorsport ride than a street ride. I don't think you can go wrong either way. This is a great first world problem to have.
