Interesting; thanks for posting. I wouldn't consider these until they have proper M3 sizes. They don't have "our" sizes as you stated above. They have a 265/30/19 for the rear which is 1" smaller than the proper M3 size. They do also have 305/30/19 which would fit with the right wheel size/offset but the only option for the front is 245/35/19 or 265/30/19 which would work but not ideal... Too much stagger IMO.

I don't know about the tire, but the promo video is 90's arcade style and awesome. They tested the tire in a race simulation at the Nurburgring with both dry and wet conditions, and the tire won, so I'm in.

I'd go for the new Pilot Sport Cup 2 before the Contis...no contest (assuming either one had sizes I would need that is, which they don't, yet).

I'm curious why you'd so readily dismiss this vs the PSC. I've only run PSCs once, but wasn't impressed with them at all for the cost. In my R32 size, this tire is $888 for 4 vs $1176 for PSCs, so it has the value play, and I'd certainly consider giving them a try. My favorite tire so far has been the NT01, though it's been a pain to source lately, so alternatives available through tirerack are attractive.

I wasn't referring to the PSC which is a very outdated tire now. The newly released PSC2 uses a whole combination of new technologies Michelin has developed in the PSS and BFG Rival from carcass design to compounding, and it is a big step ahead of the old PSC.

Long shot, but do you or anyone else, know of a time frame for more sizes (18" 265/35 & 295/30 ideally) to come out for the PSC2?

Sadly, no. I wanted to run PSC2 in 255/35-19 and 275/35-19 as my "normal" tire on the M3, but had to go to PSS instead since only the later is available now. Nobody I've talked to has a clue about future size availability (Tire Rack and Discount Tire Direct). I'm using 18" BFG Rivals for SCCA autocross and 18" NT-01s for other events (yeah, I'm up to three sets of wheels for the M3 already).

Got it, but has this improvement vs PSC or vs rivals been proven out in unbiased testing? Right now it seems to be out in so few sizes and with so few reviews that it's hard to get a guage of how good a tire it really is. Also the fact that it's unavailable in any 18" sizes seems odd, and probably eliminates it from track contention for a lot of drivers right now. For the moment, it seems like Michelin is focused more on the OE market for the PSC2, which may or may not translate to a great track tire.

I remember sitting through a tire demonstration from Michelin, and they talk about some combination blend of silica and organic oil (they use sun-flower seed oil) in the rubber compound dramatically improves wet performance without sacrificing dry grip.

I'm surprised that not more of you E9X M3 guys run 275/40/R18 size. There are a ton of brands available for it. I've got 4x Maxxis RC-1s in that size on my MZ4 Coupe.

Interesting. I'd have to guess that these will be a tad more than the NT01s. I do love the NT01s...they love slip angle and don't seem to wear much faster with some sliding and drifting. And the coo'ing sound they make is addictive.

But...how many people really buy them for cars that did not have PSCs as the OE tire. Not many. I'd be interested to see how well they wear. If its anything like the PSS...I'd have to give the PSC2s a look.

For the PSC2, I don't see a 265/35-18 on any of their sites (USA site, UK site or France site). The PSC was/is available in that size. Can you provide a link?
