Willow Springs Turn 6 - Full Throttle?
Willow Springs Turn 6 - does anyone take this at full throttle up and over the ridge?
I try every time but always puss out at the last second and lift just a bit. I think it may be doable? |

7 is the ridge. 6 is the downhill to uphill turn ...not sure if you meant 6 or 7.
7 can be taken full throttle if you have an Rs3 type tire or stickier

shit you're right! hahah I did even consider 7 a turn....thought 7 was a straight then! lol
well then yes you can take 6 full throttle, depends on tires and how you approach it. Late turn in easier full throttle.

I was taught to go full throttle into the ridge, ease off the gas at the top to let the car settle then full throttle all the way down to the crazy fast long right sweeper.

Flat, but straighten the wheel a bit before cresting it and unloading the rear. I usually grab a gear at the crest (still straightening the wheel).

Agree with others, can be taken flat out... but you need to work up to it and position the car right. Old video but fun to watch, me working up to it
Still can't believe I saved that one... and yes I lifted I know |

Just like others say - yes you can go flat out...but whatever you do, keep the steering wheel straight. This is what happened on a warm down lap when I was only going 50mph and pulled to the right a little to let someone by:

Same situation @ T9 at Thunderhill (track bends to the right after the ridge)

I'm more curious to know if anyone has/if possible to go full throttle thru 8 WITHOUT aero. Maybe on Hankook TD or Hoosiers?
With aero it's a non issue on hankook rs3 |
