I've been karting this winter and driving karts helps a lot. You learn great car control and everything that happens in a kart can happen on the track with much less risk. I recommend karting to anyone who drives a car on the racetrack. After karting I don't think I'll be as nervous getting back out there
if you look at most pro drivers in the world today they all started on karts as a kid....if my parents had more $ when i was growing up i would have def gotten into karts

Oh yea the pros all started out in karts. I didn't do it as a kid but I'm doing it now and it helps. You learn quick to be smooth with your inputs or you spin. If you get on the throttle too quick in a turn you spin. If you lock up the brakes you spin. It also teaches you to look ahead. Its the only way to be fast. And it's just fun as hell.

Been waiting till my girl turns seven (the minimum for indoor carting round here) and that'll happen this year, so yeah....can't wait for daddy/daughter weekends! Have a 3 year old and a new one coming, so swear one of these kids are going to do this with me!
