Interesting thread. I've had the same thoughts since i've started tracking. I've kept it on sport+,figured it would be best, but now I might try sport and even normal now on the next track event I attend out of curiosity.

I enjoy the twitchy-ness but maybe I'll enjoy a bit less twitchy-ness and a bit more control. Totally agree with some of you guys that in Normal there's a dead spot and in Sport+ it feels a bit dead at the end...

My car is absolutely useless with the power button ON. Just induces wheel spin even with partial throttle wtf.

It was no problem with the SC and stock exhaust but the MRF X pipe makes the throttle response insane!

On the track, I don't use the POWER button. For autocross, I actually prefer it being "on".

I believe members here have posted that at the BMW driving schools (both in NAM and abroad), they generally tell you not to use it.

I don't understand all this "On" and "Off" with the Power button. It is a 3-level adjustment for the throttle response so it is ALWAYS on, just depends on what level of response you would like to dial in. Just because the little light goes off when it's in Normal doesn't mean the mechanism is off. What is Sport Plus? Super-duper-On? It's basically a 3-click rheostat, always on and working.

Sorry for the rant, it has always pushed my buttons, so to speak. ()

Sorry, to clarify, I meant to say that I use "Normal" for street driving and the track, and "Sport Plus" for autocross.
