It was the price OP had to pay to continue the build and save his marriage because of the build. It better be a damn nice job because that's about $2,000 more than a reputable job in SoCal.

no i didnt with the e46 but i wont make that mistake with this car...i plan on getting a policy next month

Sorry to hear

I only track occasionally and paid around $400 a day for $75k of coverage with a high deductible (I think $10K). So it's really only good for a catastrophic event. I believe there is a 10 or 20% discount for 3 or more sessions per year.

i will sir!!!!!!!!!!!!! im doing more and more research as like most other horror stories state farm stated i would be covered as long as it was not a timed event or sanctioned racing... so i went through the claim as a "drivers education class"....it all sounded like it was going to work out untill they wanted to take another look at my car.... their management came out and looked at the car and stated there was signs that is was a "pure racing car" and they were not even sure how it was still registered for the street....so at the end of the month because it "looked like a race car" and that it was theoretically not legal do to the cage and oem safety equipment was removed that it was not covered...they also stated that because it happened on a "race way" that they were not going to cover it.. meaning that it was on a "race way" property..and that also led me to some scary questions...

i then questioned them that if any of my cars were damaged, stolen or anything of that nature while i was watching not participating at a racing event would it be covered as i go to alot of events through the year...their response was that each case would have to evaluated as it would be on "a race way property."
