OEM Exhaust and OEM Exhaust MOD Vids

I saw a few folks asking about the difference of the OEM Exhaust mod vs other exhausts. I think the biggest point is it just sounds phenomenal complimenting the S65 and all for a price that is quite reasonable.

But I dont want to beat a dead horse, I wanted to show my two comparison videos with the same camera done in the same location. Taken with a GoPro in a open back case mounted to the windshield with standard suction cup mount.

So if youre just looking to improve the sound w/o performance gains, well, you be the judge:

Sounds like all engine to me. But i know the oem mod sounds gobs better as i did a diy on it as well. Have fun with it!

It is much deeper and very much more coming from the rear now. Its a tone that initially takes some getting used to coming from such a tame OEM sound... But yea, its coola.

The perforated mod plus a black can is how it should have come from the factory. The best bang for the buck by far.

You should do it. Some report no drone, I have a bit around 3k but it is tolerable and so worth it... Plus if you really dont like it, people sell their OEM exhaust on the cheap here.

Ok. So I know that Ottoblotto is getting some drone.... what about you others that have done the OEM exhaust Mod? I have been thinking about this myself but my last car was a VW R32 and I changed the exhaust and by the end the drone was killing me.... I need to know is there drone or no? If so... or If not... Is it worth it? Is there a way to keep the drone from coming and getting that unreal V8 sound??

i got the perforated one.

ya city driving you don't get drone. sometime you might get a LITTLE going up a hill, but its SO quiet its nothing to complain about.

on the highway going around 77-80MPH i get drone. its not loud drone, but its there. heres the thing though. if i am going 70-75 i do not get the drone.

When it comes to drone theres a certain RPM point where it comes.

another thing. if i am going 77-80MPH in 7th i get drone, if i am in 6th gear at same speed. the drone goes away. its a freak thing! i am pretty sure its related to certain engine frequency.

I have the 2-pipe perf mod, and I have no drone. The only thing I would call drone would be a resonance down low (under 2000 rpm) like when I hit it from a stop or in reverse. Compared to ANY aftermarket exhaust, it should be considered drone free.
