WTB - OEM shiftboot and ebrake boot

Looking for OEM boots, want to try my hands on dyeing it. Must have the rings intact, but the condition doesn't have to be perfect as long as there are no tears. Thanks!

Not sure what you are looking to spend on this, but LeatherZ has them as just the boots for like $70 new and you can get both the shift and ebrake for $130 any color they have. I am going to try the same as you. I placed my orders for the boot and the dye from another. May work, may be crap, worth the try in my eyes...could be a fun little project.

Yea, same idea as yours, want to try it out too. I think that will really smarten up the interior.

Problem is, both boots WITH rings = 105 + 125. It's a little more than I want to spend, but if I don't have any luck finding used ones, I'll probably have no choice.

Where did you get the dye btw?

Ordered it online from furnitureclinic.com. I chose the boots without the rings for now. I figure if the color works out I can figure out the rings

From what I've read, the finish is supposed to be durable if you do it right. Right now, I'm way too chicken to do it on my interior (want to do Cinnamon), but I'm ok with trying to dye a spare shift/ebrake boot.

My understanding is that you just have to prep the leather properly and then do many coats. The problem is to try to match the OEM interior as I've seen some of them are just too shinny.

Just checked your link. Yet again no Bamboo Beige. Guess I'll have to go with Swissvax!
