Suction Mount for Track Use

Does anyone have recommendations for suction mounts for track use ?

I'm using this for mostly Gopro or a DSLR weighing around 280grams.

There are a few mounts I'm looking at.

1) Delkin Triple Mount

2) Muvi

I have the M Performance seats so headrest mounts are out of the question. I'm trying to capture Steering Wheel and front Windscreen. I figured the longer the arms the more vibrations there will be.

Thoughts ?

Do you have a sunroof? If so you could hook it to the glass. If not it's going to be hard to capture the wheel and what's going on outside. Mounting on the front window you won't get the steering wheel and mounting on the rear or side windows won't get you much of anything.

Have you considered 2 Go-Pro's? You could stick one to the front windshield and one to the rear quarter window. They are fairly easy to sync I think because you can start them both at the same time via the wifi control (remote or app).

Just a thought.

An increasing number of organizers are no longer approving suction cup mounts for camera mounting. You may want to check who you are going to run with to see their policy. For those who will allow it - some only allow it on the interior.

Personally - I wouldn't want a big triple cup rig on the windshield.

No Sunroof. I'm looking at reclining my pax seat back and use the rear glass panel instead. Just afraid that mounting too far back will capture too much darkness in the cabin which means the camera can't capture anything bright out the windscreen.

Only have 1 Gopro at the moment. Might consider using my NEX 6. Its heavier so I think it will pick up vibrations.

Regulations are more relax on this side of the planet.

Windshield is a no go as it doesn't capture both steering wheel and outside view.

Depending on the focal length of whatever lens you are using - a headrest mount should be simpler, more secure and give you both points of view.

I have a pair of M Performance Seats.

I had a look at Delkin's Co-Pilot. I don't think the max length is long enough when fully extended. Also if the rods are hollow, there will be flex.

I'm fresh out of ideas and really don't think there's any choice other than triple suctions.

Use spot setting on and itll capture the outside just fine.

Bringing up an old thread. I have been looking for CruiseCam short (seat) bar and it appears the company is out of business

Any other alternatives please?

I just bought some pipe and drilled holes. Guided the headrests posts through the hole and bingo. There ya go. I used a go pro roll bar mount.

When I bought my CruiseCam mount from here in October last year:

So, I thought perhaps CruiseCam was out of business, but apparently not, as about a month later, I went back to FilmTools to get it exchanged and they had just taken in a new shipment.
