The graph below is OEM vs Full VF system but the vast majority of the gains are from the mid-pipe. The rear section adds negligible power.

![]() Top 3 features im looking forward to: 1) true x merge section; close as possible to the gearbox 2) SS321 (SS & Ti) 3) A little birdie told me the piping ID changes from the header end to the back to create a nozzle affect speeding up airflow*. As exhaust gases cool they lose speed allowing for increased back pressure and more heat to remain underneath the car to heat other components as well as create lift. *Not sure if true so maybe Malek or any current owners can chime in. |

I watched your video and thought you were pretty loud. This mid-pipe is worth it for the power but the last thing I would want while taking the wife out to dinner at some swanky place is to have everyone turning and staring at me as I am pulling up to park. (I probably wouldn't mind that in my 20's but I got gray hair now.)

![]() Actually like I said earlier, paired with the Akra, it's not that loud just cruising below 2K rpm. But there is a lot of bass from 2K to 2.5K so even though it's not that loud, everyone feels within a 50 yard radius. I drive through Laguna Beach going home from work and some of my buddies confirmed this - they were inside a restaurant and felt it. They said everyone looked over - so whether this is good or bad I dunno it's just a fact. Bottom line is that you have to be a bit strategic when wanting to be quite. But that's easy to do and easily worth it to get it to scream at 8,600. It's not for everyone.

I picked up a UUC Corsa a few months ago b/c I'm not wanting to drone. I'll probably high flow cat the x-pipe w/a couple resonators, as well. Looks like the power drop off will be very, very minimal. Getting some custom tips from Malek shortly.

I was not aware these were available. Can you PM me some info? If anything I'll put some resonators on it but I highly doubt I'll touch it.

When I was looking at picking up the exhaust, there were a lot of people griping about the cans, but I got it anyway b/c I don't want to deal with drone. Figured it couldn't be *that* bad, but I was wrong *lol*. I figured at some point I would get some different tips, so the exhaust has been sitting in the garage until I a) found what tips I wanted and b) got an x-pipe. . I first noticed on Rob_S2Ks LSB's ebay auction for his E92 that he had a UUC Corsa listed, but the tips look *nothing* like mine, so I did a little digging for some close ups, and I asked him where he got them. The big thing holding me back on tips was that I was afraid that the sound would change. In talking with Rob, however, he assured me that it didn't. He indicated MRF provided them, so I hit up Malek and asked if he sold them separately. He said he does for $400. You obviously have to cut off the old tips @ the mufflers to have the new pieces welded in place. Before: ![]() After: ![]() Last edited by whats77inaname; 09-11-2013 at 11:19 AM.. |

those vforza tips look awesome.
your megan tips look awesome as well.....my megan is the older version so they are separate pieces that are riveted on.....currently looking around for other options - a weld shop should be able to do this easily. |

Yes, they are, and yes, they do Only diff is that these aren't engraved, which is appropriate. They are a night and day difference over what's on there now, that's for sure! *lol* Your car looks good with the Megan, but yeah, I agree with you....not sure it's worth $400. I'm usually about spending $ on results, not cosmetics, but every now and again, you have the break the rules. I rarely pick up new parts, but the cost of the used exhaust, new tips, and welding will come in under the cost of a new Corsa, so I'm good. Last edited by whats77inaname; 09-11-2013 at 02:18 PM.. |

i'll be going to eas to dyno this exhaust with 93 octane soon, since that's what most people on the east coast are dyno'ing with. If anyone is interested in seeing or hearing this exhaust in person, post a message on my "wall" and we'll set it up.
