I was just wondering what are the horsepower gains if you use the x-pipe with the stubbies and if high flow cats will set off a CEL?

Im not sure but from the looks of it i believe they wanted to keep the HFC as much as possible flushed with the rest of the car from the bottom. because my HFC on my FabSpeed's drivers side dangles down more than the right one. and as someone said before "yes like their own balls" lol...

The Asymmetrical design was created to conform to the chassis of the vehicle and to allow clearance.

Yes that is exactly why our X-Pipe is designed so that HFC will not hang down

You will see higher horsepower gains when the exhaust system has the cats eliminated totally. The High Flow Cat allows for a more free flowing exhaust which in turn will give you higher horsepower gains compared to keeping on the factory cats and adding the stubbies to the X-Pipe.

what specs are the cats? Will they throw a cel?

I was wondering if these cats will throw a CEl light. im in NY. Obviously i can tune out the light so it wont be that big of an issue. My second concern is how much louder does the car get? Im currently running a Borla touring exhaust and it sounds mean with Gintani tune. Dont really want it any louder than what it is now.

The HFC's are 200 cell. Depending on the BMW software update they may throw a CEL light. With our Performance software it does not make the CEL come on.

You will need a tune to pass inspection in NYS, as you will be getting CELs from cat inefficiency with the HFC x-pipe.

Correct. Software will be needed when using high flow catalytics.
