Yokohama AD08's. Stock sizes or 255/35 & 275/35. They run wide so I would probably stick with stock sizes. If you had ZCP wheels I would go with the wider tires since the wheels are 0.5" wider than your 220m's.

Hankook RS-3 is a good choice as well. Plenty grippy at the track and good on the street. And they are reasonably priced. I'd probably stick with the stock sizes unless you don't mind your speedo being off a bit.

Unfortunately RS3's are not available in any 19" sizes that fit the front of the M3.

I have the same question as the OP. Looking for a streetable track tire like NT05, RE-11, Direzza Z1 for OEM 220s. Z1s don't come in 19s, NT05s and RE-11s are only available in 275/30R19 and 245/35R19, which will make understeer worse.
Are there any options other than the AD08s? Is a square 18s setup the only practical choice? |

Ok wow just checked tire rack and I didn't realize there were so little choices for a good street/track tire in stock 19 inch sizes. Now I realize why so many go with 18s for track. So yeah I agree AD08 or RE-11.

Oh yeah, RE-11s are available in a stock size! I could've sworn Tirerack didn't show 265/35/19 as an option...must be hallucinating. Should I consider bumping the front to a 255/35/19 to offset understeer?

You are right Tire Rack does not show the RE11 in 265/35/19 size. I think that tire is being phased out. Like I said... AD08. Another option is Michelin sport cup but they are far more expensive.

I'm an AD08 user and fan myself (2nd set now) but I would wait for the AD08R to come out next month. They handle heat well and the weight of our cars better than some other options.
