Anyone going or has anyone gone? Is it wort the extra $$$ for grand stand seats or is general admission more fun?

The grand seats make a difference - Turn 1,2,3 or the hairpin sitting on the South side (you see the brakes light up on the way in and feel the engine power on the way out - also a plus a good spot for overtaking and f-ups).

Agree with LiM3y. General admission is not worth it. Grand stands in hairpin or Senna curve (123) are the best spots.

I live about one km away from the track and I have been going every year for almost 25 years. We were several years in the Senna curve, then switched for 3 years to the hairpin and then went back to the Senna curve because we found that is was a better spot. I still buy my tickets every year to keep my spot in the Senna curve, but I have missed the last 2 years because our club holds a track event on the same weekend. I have to choose between being in the stand or on the track, the choice is easy for me . Still sad I am missing the GP though .

If you are looking for a 3 day ticket, mine is still for sale. Senna curve, Grand stand 12, very well placed. I am willing to let them go for $400CAD. (paid $449)

Agree with this, def get a grandstand seat. I also have sat at the hairpin and liked it (missed Kubica's wreck by one year...) Seriously, that will give you a good view of braking, some passing and the start of the run down the back straight. Plus there is a big video monitor there, too. Easy enough to walk around the rest of the track, I found the GA to be either not very good or extremely crowded. It is one race every fan should go to, and Montreal is a great place to hang out after the race weekend festivities.

missed the thread.. i was there in the hairpin. love that weekend, such as fun time! canaut - great ticket price!
