Need Input On Wheel Balancing Tape For Track/ Racing Use

Is there a specific/ recommended wheel adhesive balancing weights for track use? Thanks for the input.

I used foil duct tape to hold down the shop installed weights. works well (so far)

Also to reflect heat from the brakes so radiation does not melt the adhesive.

I once came in from a session without cooling down due to some brake issues and the wheel weights started coming off in the garage. Foil tape works.

you can pick up said tape in the HVAC section of any Lowes or Home Depot.

I found a tire shop that uses 3M balancing weights. It is a long continuous strip of metal and adhesive tape that is cut to the length of the required weight directly calculated from the balancing machine.

These weights don't budge even with heavy track use

I don't use tape because I don't even bother balancing my track wheels.

But if you have to drive on the street or to/from the track on them then just use aluminum HVAC tape. Not duct tape.
