So last night I saw an SG E92 M3 in Boerne last night with the license plate saying "DINAN". Anyone here?

I met the DINAN M3 guy a few months back - very nice car, and nice guy too. Has a family, so he doesn't have as much free time as some of us. He's got all the Dinan goodies, although he didn't do the "big engine" swap.
I'll try to get the Gran Coupe' photos posted soon (have to download from camera), and I got my new F30 335i yesterday. Photos not yet taken, but will be up soon as well. GC and new 335i photos added!

Not sure what COTA had in mind as a corral, but they kept suggesting we have someone in the parking area handing out "info" (not sure what - we didn't have any, so maybe CCA membership apps?) and directing people. After paying for 2 tickets and parking, I sure as heck wasn't going to miss any of the activities while freezing my a$$ off in the parking lot, nor was anyone else. The close-in parking was great, the passes to get in the paddocks and meet the drivers were ok as well, but all in all, none of that was related to the "Corral" as we know it in the CCA. Look in Roundel magazine for articles about Corrals at other major events and they're totally different. They even suggested we bring our own tents, tables, and chairs, although there really wasn't anywhere to put them, especially considering the weather. I think COTA is still in learning mode, so other than the parking and the lap (if you were lucky enough to get one), you didn't miss much. Sitting in the stands, even with the sun shining, was uncomfortable with the cold wind. Lots of walking to do if you wanted different vantage points or to visit the paddock area, etc. Hopefully, next time will be better.

Thanks! We sure are liking it. I thought it would take awhile to get used to, but it fits like a glove.

Ah. Street racing. Not my cup of tea, although the track stuff looks interesting. Where's all this taking place?

Where in Houston? Houston metro area is 750 square miles. Used to live there, more than once.

Ah, I thought so. TWS is in Bryan, but that new LMP place is supposed to be a pretty nice facility. Is that the same as the "private/members only" track they built south of Houston?
The track stuff sounds like fun, but I already had plans for this weekend. Thanks for the heads-up, though.

I like it more every time I drive it. It's a big change from the 07 E92...besides the extra 2 doors and the N55 engine, there's a lot more content, so to speak. I really like the shape of the seats and more legroom, the 8-speed trans (showing 28+ mpg in combined driving), the ability to not only save a "profile" with all my settings, but also to export it to a USB key in case the car ever gets reset, and lots more. I got the Dynamic Handling package and it's pretty cool -flip the switch into "Sport" or "Sport Plus" modes, and the car's whole character changes. Amazingly enough, the N55/8-speed combo really hauls...can't wait for that PPK that's due out soon just for the M-Sport model.
