Popping noise from D/S rear wheel, vid ?
Anyone know what could cause this?
The noise is coming from, I think, the drivers side rear wheel area. It only occurs when the is moving slowly or at least I only hear it then. Almost sounds like a heat sheild popping, but it seems to load and then ping. Last edited by ///M3THOD; 02-15-2013 at 11:42 AM.. |

Could be a rock stuck in between the dust shield?

If you take the wheel off you should be able to have enough room to get at the dust shield. The dust shield is fairly flexible so you should be able to pull out the bottom enough to see if a rock falls out. If that doesn't work then you may need to remove the caliper/rotor.

Happens to me all the time..rocks even from paved roads. Either go fast on the highway or take some sharp turns/drive on some twistys. Will kick out within the next couple of drives.
