Saw a new M6 today...
We were at our local BMW dealer taking delivery of a 3-series for my wife when I spotted a brand-new convertible M6 sitting on the lot. The color was absolutely breathtaking--it's a new BMW (?M-specific) color called San Marino Blue. Not as purplish or dark as Interlagos, and not as light and bright as LSB. It has amazing depth and richness.
My CA started the car for me and revved it a bit--sounds good. Rumbly but refined V8, with some nice pop and burble on the overrun. Can't touch a naturally aspirated BMW V8 or V10 in the sound department, though... Oh, another thing--the LED headlights are amazing. The sticker? $127k. |

I do like the new M5/6 but for that kinda money it's 911 C2S time. The 911 is now no worse than that car on the inside and will run circles around it.

I love the look of the new M6 and I'm certain she preforms admirably...but for that price range I'd get a competitive Prosche AND a 3 series as a DD |

And the C2S is not overpriced! I love the logic on the BMW board. I heard a guy giving it to C4S. A car that sounds like it is farting, would be an over statement.

My boss got this car last month. Eye candy, bumper to bumper! Seen it only once. He garages it and drives a Jeep! Go figga.....
Update: Saw my boss' car today, with the top down of course, and I regret to say it is not an M6 but a 650i with the M sport pkg (aero kit, M steering wheel, carbon black). By bad. The car is still sticks of dynamite!!! I did mention I only seen it once... Last edited by Alpha///M; 05-29-2012 at 12:34 PM.. |

Wow, told my fiance that if I win the lotto today, I'll buy a M6 coupe.
think I'll wait 4 years and wait for one on the used market. Plenty of low mileage E6X M5/6 that you can pick up for a song and a dance these days. I don't see why these will price any differently. |

Agreed about the price, but I don't know if I equate the M6 and 911--are they cross-shopped that often? I think of the 911 as a smaller, more pure sports car and the M6 as a larger, fast, luxurious GT, competing with Jag XKRs and MB SL63 AMGs, maybe even a poor-man's Aston Martin.

It looks like they finally got the exterior styling right on this one, it is gorgeous. I love torque so it is certainly something to lust after. That MSRP is for the vert, the coupe will be less. I bet the connected M dealers can do this for less than $100K, less still for Euro delivery.
The "driver assistance package" and "executive package" are a laugh. Can do without $those$ as well.

i saw it and sat in it couple times, to me the interior is a beauty, although i feel that the screen is way too big.
Exterior is Fugly, it jus looks expanded here and there to fill the space/gap of the huge sized dimensions |
