great race, very entertaining. Good drive by Rosberg but WTF is happening w/ MSC, poor guy has had the worst luck all season so far.
McLaren is looking strong, they were able to finish 2-3 even though they had to fight through lots of traffic at times, also Webber did a nice job after falling asleep at the start... again |

Best race yet , but poor Schumi, he's had bad luck this season. What the hell was the Lollypop man looking at during that pit stop? You could see the three other wheelmen had their wrenches up (meaning Done) when he released the car, but you need 4 wheels to make it around the track.

Great race. I'd like a picture of Webber's wheelie. Great job for him to keep that on the ground.
RBR's strategists are probably the best on the paddock.

Very exciting race for sure! Real glad to see Rosberg get his first win, huge weekend for Mercedes. Shame Schumi had to retire due to the wheel, otherwise we would have had a race where every car finished.

What a bizarre mistake by the Mercedes pit crew to send Schumacher out like that. He'll be gutted. Great drive by Rosberg, though - flawless victory, in fact. As an aside, Ferrari didn't seem too bad yesterday. They are not bad on race pace - Alonso made one very large mistake (running wide and losing lots of time and track position), and they just didn't have any straight-line speed. Will be interesting to see if they can claw back a significant difference in Spain. |

Recalling during the race, the current pit stop traffic light system is primary automatic. Manual override if traffic is heavy, such as passing traffic to ensure no unsafe release.
When Shumi came in, the pit lane was clear, so I'd guess the system was on Automatic and once the sensors/check points on of four wheels, front and rear jack shows a green light (similar to the ones you see in McLaren), the main release will show a green light and release Schumi back in racing. I'd guess during the first attempt of the wheel gun tripped the sensor when it dropped down, and sent a green light to the computer and thus released Schumi. I hope to hear more from Mercedes about the traffic light system. This should be a tech feature from SkyF1 or BBC...

Absolutely LOVED the race this weekend. Did they ever figure out what happened with Kimi? Losing like 10 spots in 2 laps is abnormal, to say the least. Great racing all around. Also feel badly for Schumi, although it's hard to too badly for anyone with 7 championships under their belt.

Got raped in that one lap!!! Kimi was in a 2-stop strategy and he pitted for the last stint earlier than others if i remember correctly.

One of the best races ever I'd say. It didnt need rain to make it crazy, just good ole fun. I dont think I've ever seen the top 8 so close together for that long. As much as I hate the "spec" series F1 is turning into, its sure as hell making the racing much closer and more interesting.

Holy crap what a race!!! Congrats to NICO!!! What and amazing drive for him. I liked when he said that even though he wasn't able to drive as fast as he wanted to at the end it was still a good race (saving those tires).
Glad to see Button was able to get back to P2 after that TERRIBLE EFFING PIT STOP...Stupid McLaren pit stops. You could tell on the radio and evne post-race interview he was SO disappointed. They just had that car dialed in. Good job for Lewis to get P3. Did anyone else notice the first graphic they showed for the Constructor's? LMAO! They had RBR with over 100 then Ferrari over 80 and McLaren at 55. I was screaming that couldn't be right. HAHA What an overall fantastic race. Grosjean and Maldanado did a superb job not taking each other out with ~10 to go. Webba overtaking Seb at the end there. Feelsbadman.jpg for Kimi. Those tires just went to shit in a hurry. P2 to P10 in 1 lap. CRAZY. Did anyone else notice that Ferrari seemed to catch a little more race pace this race? Seemed like Massa was able to be a little contending (until his tires gave out) as well as Alonso driving the panels off to compete with 10 to go. Hats off to Williams to get 7 and 8. good points!

I've noticed a lot of errors with BBC's coverage in China... The microphone while David was walking around was crackling and making all kinds of noise... On top of that, Eddie got told No for the quick word on the strip... it just seemed weird. I guess SkyTV is the way to go from now on.
