SOLD!!! Thanks everyone.

I have a freshly painted gloss black Challenge GT Lip with clear bra for sale. It has not been installed since the new paint and clear bra. Looks brand new! This is the non-CF version which from what I understand was offered in limited supply from Challenge. I purchased this from a friend and have decided to go in a different direction.

Asking $750 for the lip. Local NJ buyer's preferred. Will ship at buyer's expense. Send me a PM with any questions.

Didn't these go for $895 new?

I love it, just wish it was less.

I believe that was the price new. But this has a fresh coat of paint and clear bra so I think my price is fair.

Just a note to the seller, this is a full carbon lip, just was finished in black paint instead of polish and clear coat on the usually Carbon lips.

I'm curious... why does anyone paint CF lip? The paint might crack a lot easier when you hit a bump or scrape it, rather then leaving it CF which looks better anyway.

I think plain and simple the reason is because some people dont like exposed CF, but dont want to sacrfice the strength that CF has to offer as opposed to fiberglass. In the end, to each his own, everyone has different styles and taste.

Where do we even start here? lol I would probably always paint a CF lip the color of the car. Did that with my NSX and S2000. Just looks better and cleaner in the long run and if done right the paint is just as strong and won't crack easier. Been there done that.

Everyone has their own taste and style though. I think a white car with a CF lip looks average. With that same lip painted white and done right looks 10Xs better and cleaner. Most of the owners here all do the same thing since someone else did it. Coming from the modified NSX crowd you go cleaner with lips..

I don't see how paint is going to crack any easier than the the clear and/or resin on the carbon fiber. CF doesn't "look better anyway", not IMO at least. It has a brownish/yellow color and is woven like a burlap sack. Plus, the car comes from the factory with gloss black accents, exposed CF doesn't match that IMO.

If I could get a fiberglass version of every part, I would. Instead, I have to paint the CF one. I don't care about strength or weight because you're kidding yourself if you think a CF lip or diffuser is any stronger or lighter than the FRP version.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure so I didn't want to market it as a CF lip.
