I think he meant that the E46 M3 ended in '06. And in europe the E9x began with the '07 model year.

DCT is nice but really boring
After having the DCT in my 09 M3 I am pretty bored with it. Will definately go for a manual tranny in the next car I buy. It is very capable, fast on the track, easy to drive in stop and go traffic but then so is my ML320....

Ever since I heard that the latest software update nannies the driver into fastening the seatbelt before letting the car out of neutral, I've been wanting the manual transmission. I love the DCT and always wear my seatbelt, but I want to be in control of my car and don't want software mucking things up.
