Did anybody notice that the car he bought claims to have an ESS
VT540 kit (which doesn't exist) AND a Dinan ECU flash (which would
be incompatible with the ESS ECU).

don't worry about it. when his engine blows (which i would never wish upon someone), he's got a plan to replace it under warranty...

This really makes no sense. If you supercharge your car, it basically doesn't matter if you are under warranty or not, you will have to pay to replace your engine.

The odds of you blowing your engine are no greater during the warranty period than later, so if you want to supercharge, why wait?

In fact, you could argue that a worn engine has a higher risk of failure, so it would be better to supercharge earlier in the engine's life cycle.

LOL. You might as well take your 350z in and ask them to replace the engine in that.

Seriously though, all big warranty claims need approval from BMWNA, and they will definitely do their homework before dropping $20k to replace your engine.

At least he bought a car that will not easily be identifiable on the forums, etc. It's not like he bought the generic AW/FR combo. Too funny.
