ZCPs on AW E90... stock or powdercoat gunmetal?
So I have an AW E90 on order (currently on a boat!) and I picked up a set of OEM ZCPs to use as summer rims for a year or so... will use the stock 18s for winter. I'm currently debating powdercoating the ZCPs gunmetal as I'm a fan of a darker wheel finish on a white car but looking for thoughts/input from the masses as I'm not 100% sure. I probably won't keep the ZCPs long term so wondering if it makes more sense for resale to keep them stock vs powdercoating... also haven't seen any pics of gunmetal ZCPs on white so could use some convincing. Any input is appreciated.

keeping them stock/non pc'd would help increase your chances of selling later on IMO..as you've stated that is your intention...

Do what you like and what will make you happy. I powder coated mine textured matte black on space gray. Get compliments all the time. For some people, it's not for them.

agreed, but as he plans on re-selling, he might be narrowing his resale market...but who knows...either way..OP GL with your decision...

I would powdercoat them, will look amazing on white !!!
you pay so much money for your car, does it matter if you get $ 500 more or less when you sell your rims ? do what you think will look best. |

Thanks guys. At this point I'm leaning towards powdercoating as I don't mind taking a hit of a few hundred $ when it comes time to flip them for something else (ie. forged/Japanese). I think it will look great as well, at the very least a bit different then most other white ZCP E90s. Plus I found a local place that does good work at a solid price so might drop them off tomorrow... assuming I find the time.
Sounds nice, any pics?

Anyone have pics of an AW E90 on gunmetal ZCPs or a similar style wheel in a gunmetal finish? Have searched but not finding much, would like some final confirmation of how it looks before I go ahead...
