Alpine MSS tune Stage 2 with Dyno
I recently flashed Alex's latest (06/2021) Alpine stage 2 tune on my 2011 e90 m3c, had a few additional bolt-ons installed and decided to get the car dynoed. Figured I'd share my numbers for anyone interested as you're trying to decide what tune to get. I've been running the Alpine tune for nearly a year, first with stage 1 and GTS DCT tune, then stage 2 and now his latest stage 2 with a few additional mods on the car. Alex has been awesome to work with and his customer service is top notch and it's great that he is still supporting the tune and platform!
My tune options are: Stage 2 - 93 Octane Speed Limit Delete Red Line increase to 8500 My mods include: Eisenmann Race Exhaust Turner Test Pipe (primary cat delete, secondary cats in place) MS Stage 2 Intake MS Underdrive Pulleys Spark plugs were replaced ~10k miles ago and I've had my TAs, RBs and thermostat replacement kit and sensors done about ~2k miles ago. I'm getting 383whp/288wtq. Car feels much faster, shifts crisper and the power is very linear, and it screams. Unfortunately I made a rookie mistake of not getting a baseline dyno when my car was bone stock ![]() Link for video above. |

wanted to contribute my dyno as well with it being alpine tuned
here was my dyno run last yr on stage 2 91 octane map, so it wasnt the updated tune that alex came out with months ago. MS intake, MS catless x pipe, megan rear section. was on a mustang dyno as well, heard they tend to read a lot lower than dyno jet. 348whp 281tq |

Nice numbers! Has anyone dynoed with fbo's and the e85 tune? Planning to dyno once I finish off some maintenance items.

My butt dyno didn't feel anything, maybe a tiny bit more instant responsiveness on the throttle but could have been mental. This is with a direct comparison actually, I was already on his older stage 2 tune with all the other mods, then installed the MS pulley without flashing the new tune and drove it for a few weeks prior to this dyno run with a new tune.
But the car 100% runs hotter after the MS pulley on both old and new tunes. It gets past the 210° point quicker when I push the car or track it and gets to a higher temperature overall as well. I also remember Alex did advise against the pulley when I initially asked him his thoughts. Searching the forum also sees people give mixed reviews on installing pulleys and my shop did say they haven't seen problems with them so I decided to try it out. |
