Would like to know as well. Though even if its not natively supported by the seat module I suspect it wouldn't be too difficult to get done.

Module with above part number (which seems correct?) - Currently going for about $300 on ECSTuning
ZCP front seatbelts (72118058476/72118058475 right/left) Currently going for about $213 each on ECSTuning. Non-ZCP F80 front seatbelts are about the same cost M3 badges (if replacing silver early badges) (52108089597) $143 each (gack!) on ECSTuning Soooo, if you're doing this on a pre-LCI car, and you're just buying a pair of front seats as I'm considering doing without belts - You need at least $700 in extra parts, and $1000 or so to do it "right" with the updated badges which don't crack and look terrible after a while like the early silver ones. Still cheaper than new Recaros, if you can find a reasonable pair of front seats, and you retain the airbag and oem-style functionality which is still key for me, so I'll probably still pull the trigger on the right set of seats, but yeesh the things we do for love. Really wish I had an accurate weight comparison to push me over the edge

https://www.trademotion.com/index.cfm?siteid=214320 I want to retain memory, heat, power, airbag too! This looks pleasing but I am a bit bummed these seats don't have a compatible harness guide hole or something similar. I'm not certain the seats hold me any better in the thigh area either but damn do they look good.

Morristown pricing is cheaper on these part numbers, but not drastically so. $630, not including badges or seats, assuming the seats don't come with belts which are more than $350 for the pair at morristown right now
Also, I'm not sure that's the correct LCI driver's seat module part number. Listed as without memory on the parts fiche It looks like you can lose about 12lb, total, (6 per side) with these seats. I think I'm done with my feverish wanting of them for now, and will focus on other projects, but I still want if a set of seats comes up local. I'm sure they'll get less expensive used as time goes on and more cars crash or turn into track rats, heh

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=61_2096 Oddly enough RealOEM shows the part to be identical for memory or no memory.

Your informative post has been looking for F80 Seats.... I hope I can be as lucky as you and get a set for cheap but it doesn't look like it.

Give it some more time. With F80 getting into the $30k's, more people will start track building them and parting interiors.

Adam, a few Qs:
- With your relocation kit, is the rear seat bottom finally in place so as to not extend ~10mm as it did originally? With a child’s seat in back, rear legroom is important to me. - I currently have a fixed rear seat. Are levers/latches included on the rear seats, or would I need other parts to get the foldability? If the F80 rear seats are fixed, would the fit perfectly you'd say (the 98% rating seems based on the tight fold down). Can you also PM the price for your relocation kit? Thanks! The rear seat bottom fits without any modification, you just need to push it back with a little extra effort (probably about 10mm) to get it to clip in the front, legroom is the same as your stock seat, once the rear seat is installed everything works as and feels as it should, only two details are the following 1- When the seats are folded down the side bolsters do not trim out the the bulkhead perfectly 2- The back of the rear seat is black so it doesn't match the grey trunk interior color (im losing sleep over this so i might just go back to stock...ha) -Adam |

Ah, helpful, thank you!
So your kit would not work on a car that does not have a fold down rear? Guess I’ll stop thinking about a rear retrofit then. I actually prefer the stock rear seat, but the weight loss + matching the fronts were tempting. Do your fronts rub on the trans tunnel at all? I’ve read it does lightly in the E92 with F82 seats, probably the same F80-E90 but curious about your experience. |
