Its possible you are viewing an older version of it, try holding SHIFT and pressing the reload icon (inside the address bar) while on that notifications screen, then press the delete button and see if it works

Thanks for the reply and tip. I went to the Notifications page, hovered over the Delete All button, held down the Shift key and clicked the button. I got a pop up that asked if I was sure I wanted to delete all. Instead of answering that pop up, I canceled it and went back to the button and simply clicked it without the shift key just to see if anything had changed and it did. I received the same pop up as when I held down the shift key, this time I confirmed I wanted to delete all and it did!!! Super, thanks!
