If the mains spin then that normally cracks the block (by the oil feed hole) and scraps the block, the crank is also very likely to be scrap.

If the rod bearings spin there's a high chance it will score the crank and trash that too, if it's not too badly scored and you can find an engine shop that'll regrind the crank and apply the special heat treatment then you could re use the crank (it's also possible the rod will be damaged). But usually people just scrap the crank and get a new one, or more likely just get a good 2nd hand engine.
