, although I'm not keen on the long hose, so assuming I do it (have lost very little PAS oil so far) I'd go for a shorter hose and see if I can find some kind of quick fit connector.

Also I don't see how some of you are getting pressure build up on that setup seeing as brake reserv. caps have a vent hole in them (they have to, to allow air to come in and out as the brake fluid goes in and out for their original use!).
Are you sure you haven't just got a bad fit into the PAS cap vent hole?
