From what I can tell after about 10k miles with the software update, S4 grabs like S5 used to, so I just use S4 driving around town and S5 when I'm going M mode balls out. The rev match is also more aggressive. My guess would be any extra wear would probably only be expected in S5 when it's grabbing super hard. Barks the tires 1-2 and 2-3. |
Thats exactly the same settings I use. Local roads S4 and until oil is at optimal temp, S5/M-mode once car is warmed up and I can break free of traffic on highway. (Although with the ECU tune it kicked it up another notch.)
