Wow, this is like looking into my recent past! As someone who did about 4 track weekends per year in the intermediate group on my M3 that's also my DD and was using StopTech Street Performance pads, Vorshlag camber plates, and PSSes, I think you've got a perfect plan! It worked very well for me, and the only things I've changed now that I'm in the advanced group are adding a front BBK and using race pads on the front axle when on track (StopTechs stay in the rear full-time). I'm still using the PSSes though since I feel I can learn a lot more by working on maximizing control of the grip I have rather than just adding more. If I do step up at some point I would likely do something like an AD08 R or BFGoodrich Rival before going to an actual R-comp like NT01, especially since I've only got so many dollars to spend on my track habit, so I have to decide whether I'd have more fun spending money on stickier tires to go faster or stick with less aggressive tires and instead spend money on going to the track more often. I have a feeling I'd choose the latter.

The Vorshlag camber plates make absolutely no noise as long as your installer pulses the strut stem top nut with an air impact gun; Vorshlag's instructions are explicit about that, because otherwise they WILL make noise (and put excessive wear on the spherical bearing). Note that that should ONLY be done to the top nut on each strut stem, NOT the 3 nuts around each side of the strut brace that are loosened to make camber adjustments, all of which only require tightening with hand tools to about 20 lb-ft. Align for -2.5 camber and 1/16" toe-in (total) and call it a day. Another perk of Vorshlag's setup that may not be true of others is that they don't alter the stock ride height, FYI. I've also attached my version of Vorshlag's installation guide to this post if you want to give it to your installer. It's just Vorshlag's online guide reformatted for printing and with some additional minor clarifications and emphasis.

The StopTech pads are as good a combo setup as you'll find -- absolutely like OEM on the street and they resist fade far longer than stock on the track, with the additional major benefit of not leaving you with uneven pad deposits after a single weekend that mess up your rotors after and leave you with severe steering wheel vibration under medium braking on the road. Ask me how I know the OEM pads do that....

For race pads, none of them will be pleasant on the street; they're loud especially when braking at low speeds, often don't bite well cold, and will accelerate your rotor wear, so stick with StopTech until you're ready to swap pads for track weekends. When you're ready for that though, PFC and Pagid are the most popular choices on our cars. Fyi, the "Yellow" and "RS19" you mention are basically two names for the same Pagid product. The Pagid Yellow lineup consists of the RS19 and RS29; people with more experience with Pagid stuff can probably tell you more about the differences between the two.

Between Pagid and PFC, both have a strong following. However, even the Pagid fans acknowledge that Pagids are picky about being bedded in properly, whereas PFCs are basically plug and play, which is why I like them since I'm swapping pads on my front rotors. I use the PFC 08 compound (the replacement for the 06 you mentioned) because they apparently give 90% of the bite of the famous 01s but last 2-3x as long and are far gentler on rotors -- and cost the same as 01s. I'll give up some absolute bite for those benefits any day, especially since even the 08s are a bit overkill on PSSes because brake bite isn't the stopping bottleneck anymore. But I'd hold off on race pads if you can, unless you're going to a track that's notoriously hard on brakes. They are a MAJOR change. After I switched to race pads I lost much of the braking smoothness I'd developed (especially on brake release) and only after 3 weekends on them am I finally starting to get some of it back as I retrain my foot. Race pads definitely make it harder to be smooth, hence my recommendation to wait and continue working on your fundamentals more if you can.

In terms of other race pad options, Hawks chew through rotors like nobody's business, so I personally avoid them. I don't recall people running Carbotech XP pads on our cars since they seem to be designed for lighter cars (which is why they're popular on Corvettes), and I'm not familiar with the HDC-60 option you mentioned.

Oh yeah, one more change I just made: 255/35/19 front tires. The story there is that back before I even had camber plates, I corded the outsides of both of my front tires after 3 track weekends (and about 7500 total miles). The camber plates were installed and initially set to -2.3 camber, and after 3 weekends on new front tires they still looked good. But then halfway through Sunday on my fourth weekend, I chunked the outside of one of my front tires. So now I'm at -2.5 camber, and I'm hoping that that change plus the extra rubber will further protect the outer sidewall and also dial out some understeer (since I'm keeping the stock rear tire size). My first track event with that setup is this coming weekend.
