Thanks! Good to hear someone else upgraded only the fronts. I will initially continue running PSSes myself. I don't feel that I'll have to upgrade tires because of the brakes, it's actually the other way around. I was worried that if I upgraded the tires first and got all that extra grip, I'd end up overwhelming the stock brakes and have to get a BBK right away.

I'm thinking more and more that I'm just going to bite the bullet sooner rather than later here. One of the reasons I passed on the BMW CCA event at CotA next month is because I heard my instructor running his E36 M3 for one day out there with Driver's Edge went through 40% of his brake pads. Since I don't swap my own pads (though I would with the awesome mechanism in these StopTechs), I realized that in addition to the $600 registration fee, I'd have to pay a mechanic to install new pads immediately prior to the event and then reinstall my previous pads immediately after, and that was just more than I wanted to spend. But if a BBK requires pad swaps less frequently due to increased area AND makes it so easy to DIY, that wouldn't be a major concern for me. Damn, now I wish I'd signed up!!
