M3 March 2011 Production Changes. BMW Apps (6NR) new option. Special Edition Coming.

Hmmm.... also noticed that MY11's End of Production for the E92 M3 is 8/11. If I place my order in August then the question is whether my M3 will be a 2011 or 2012 model.

Maybe it will depend on whether there is an opening in the August production queue at the point I place my order. If not then my car will probably be in the September production queue and hence be a 2012 M3.

Shouldn't the 2012 updates be coming out soon? Also it would be really nice to know the last day you could take a 2011 ED and the first day you could take a 2012 ED... This lack of information is playing havoc with my schedule.

I was told from a dealer that the ED for 2012 would be beginning of OCT however roomers on this site have suggested Sept. Either way I think you are waiting until fall for ED on a 2012.

So, the Frozen Gray SE's interior became a standard option shortly after it came and went. Could the Frozen Black SE's interior become a standard option for MY2012?

Probably not, I guess. But hey, it would not surprise me either.

I wrestled with ordering or waiting myself for a while. They have been announcing some special edition or another almost daily it seems, but either they are limited to the coupe or sedan (I want the cabrio), or Europe only, or very pricey, or very limited production, with no availability or price information at the time of the announcement. My feeling is that the likelihood of a radical change to the M3 cab in the next year is slim, without it being either very expensive, or come at the expense of losing out on the 1.9% financing available now, which will be much more costly in the long run. I plan on leasing for 3 years, so by the end of the lease, the new M3's should be out and I'll trade up if I like them. Jet black with fox/black/black and everything but satellite radio on its way in a month.

That's contrasting roof on M-sport, not ///M.

The contrasting hardtop can also be specified in conjunction with the M Sport package and for the BMW M3 Convertible.

Ah, see that now. Wonder if the M3s will get the updated RTTI?
