Before I didnt see a point in them, but after NYS changed over to these orange plates I cant deal with it anymore. Its mainly because I have a white car that it really bugs the shit out of me. I also always wanted to change my plate number to the same thing as my car back home.
I say you should definitely get them if you want to get rid of the orange plates. Its been almost a month now so i should be getting them soon.

was just debating on this yesterday, it did seem bit cheesy to me so i opted for the yankees world series champ plate, like you said, anything to get rid of that yellow plate...
Whichever you go with is well worth it to ditch the yellow plates. They're awful!!!
I just wish we could get the BMW CCA plate without the logo on the side and just the writing in blue on the bottom "bmw car club of america". That would have been perfect.
Anything to unload the disgusting, 70's throwback to bankrupt NYC, shitty plates.

brooklynm3 wroteI say yes, get them. I kept my white empire plates because I can't stand the "puke" yellow plates. I was soooo happy as a little kid when they got rid of them cause I thought they made my dad's car ugly.
And now they brought them back.
i just turned these in if anyone wants em
I'm strongly considering this as well. The back plate doesn't look too bad in yellow, but the front looks awful. I may go with the "Drive for the cure" plate since half of the fee goes to Cancer research. I'd rather see some of my money going to a cause than all of it going to New York State.

Poleposition wroteSaw your car @ MAC last week. Lookin good.`
Thx man
I just realized that now with the plates all the colors in the back of my car match. The colors on the plate are M colors so it works out beautifully on a white car.
Here's mine, looks perfect on the AW:thumsup:
bmwm3nyc wrotedid not know that thanks....Once you turn in a personal plate it is taken out of the rotation. They won't let anybody get that combo ever again.
someone did mention to me that I could "hibernate" the plate???...
not sure if that is accurate...
not necessary as I am "M" less right now anyway,,,LOL
MCarRacr07 wroteyeah you can hold your plate in your name and retain it if you want. what you driving for the while?did not know that thanks....
